Sortful ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create your account.
• List Data: The categories, items, and reminders you create are stored on our servers to enable sync across your devices and sharing features.
• Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous usage data (e.g., feature usage, crash reports) to improve the app. This data cannot identify you personally.
• AI Processing: When items are classified by AI, the text is sent to Google Gemini API for processing. We do not store AI request/response data beyond the immediate classification.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain the app's core functionality (lists, reminders, sharing)
• To sync your data across devices
• To enable shared lists and family collaboration
• To improve the app through anonymous analytics
• To send you notifications for reminders you set

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your data may be processed by:

• Google Gemini API: For AI-powered item classification (text only, no personal identifiers)
• RevenueCat: For subscription management
• Railway: Our backend hosting provider
• Cloudflare: Our proxy and CDN provider

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on our backend servers hosted on Railway. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's Keychain. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

5. Your Rights

• You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• You can export your list data from within the app (Premium feature).
• You can request a copy of your personal data.

6. Children's Privacy

Sortful is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
